The police have arrested two persons, including a minor at Benebene in the Ashanti Region, over the murder of a third-year student of the Tweneboa Kodua Senior High School.
According to a statement from the police, suspect Eric Aning and the minor attacked and robbed the deceased, Daniel Osei Mensah, of his Boxer Motorbike and murdered and buried him on a cocoa farm near Benebene.
A police report stated that the suspects were arrested with the help of community members of Fiankoma. ” The suspects will be arraigned in court today, August 9, 2022.”
Meanwhile, the police say the Inspector-General of Police, George Akufo Dampare, has communicated with their family of Daniel to commiserate with them.
“Following the arrest, the suspect and his minor accomplice led the police to the scene where the body was found. The body was removed and deposited at the St Peter’s Catholic Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy”, a police report said.
